Then and Now

Jan sent me some photos that he took at the end of September when I was shooting Sena's birthday party out on the patio....

Looking back at these photos it looks like we live in a botanical garden or something. It's hard to believe that such a short time ago it looked so beautiful out there.

This is all that's left out there today. The only reason there's still any colour left is because Jan made the effort to bring some plants into the garage every time there was a chance of frost.

But soon the last plants will freeze, all the leaves will fall off the last bushes, and it will be stark and bare for the next six months.  Kind of depressing really.....

​Hopefully we'll get a lot of snow this winter, because that always looks nice out there.
