It’s not a regular doll stand, but a quadruple stand!!! :o) I’ve wanted to make it for a while, but it wasn’t high enough on my priority list. Well, today I looked at my room and decided I was going to do something fun instead of sort more stuff.
I did do a few other things today that I’ll share soon!
I had 4 smaller dolls who didn’t have stands so they always had to lay down on the dolly shelf.
I had an idea to make a stand that held those 4 ten inch dolls…Patsy, Trixie, Elin and Noel.
I took a piece of 1/4″ plywood 4″ x 15″ and my hubby cut 4 holes spaced evenly apart. I had already made sure each doll could easily slide in and out of the holes.
Then I covered it with thin fleece and glued it in place. I made slits in the hole openings and pulled them to the back side and glued them down.
Then I covered it and glued down a blue fleece doing the exact same thing to it, making the slits and gluing them down on the back side too.
I pulled the sides to the back and glued them in place.
I wanted it to be a little prettier than just all blue fleece, so I used some trim and glued it around the top edge.
I took white felt and glued it underneath to hide all the pointed looking pieces.
I didn’t want the dolls feet to slide forward in the stand so I glued a piece of trim around the lower edge of the stand to keep them standing upright.
Yay!! It worked!!!
The wood stand fits nicely up in my doll shelf and the girls LOVE looking around instead of laying on their backs and staring at the top of the bookshelf.
Hope you enjoyed that!!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
