Lonnie

Lonnie came home earlier this week, after getting an entire redo. Her face-up had completely rubbed off of her chin and nose, and her sealer had turned very yellow. So she was stripped and repainted. Now she's like new again....

It's always a little bitter-sweet to have a doll repainted, especially if she's been a favourite for years. They end up fresh and new, but never exactly the same, and it takes a little time to get used to the new look. Lonnie's complexion is a little lighter now, especially in person - I didn't even see that she had freckles - and she reminds me so much of my Kassia, which is interesting since the two of them arrived together, back in 2012.
