Many of you already guessed the last piece for Kirsten’s dress set might be a shawl…and you were right. I don’t know how to knit one, so I had to dig in my fabric stash and see what I could find that would be limp and cozy and MATCH the colors. I’ve used this before as a shawl and I think it works. It’s neutral enough to work with the blue… I cut it into an elongated triangle and fringed the edges. I first stitched about 1/4″ away from the edges so it wouldn’t keep unraveling…
Here are some pictures of it on Kirsten…and a “guest” model.
We went outside and I guess I was disturbing the birds at the feeder, because they kept coming to it, even though I was only about four feet away. I did capture a picture of a Nuthatcher before he realized Kirsten and I were there.
It started sprinkling so we had to move back inside…
Addy wanted to get in on the modeling action, so here are a few pictures of her in the dress. I think it could easily be a Civil War dress, don’t you?
It’s still raining so no outside pics for Addy…at least today!
I need to think of a story line (I think it was Joy who mentioned something… I’ll have to go back and see what it was) and find some kind of accessory for this one…
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
