Kingdom Doll is releasing a new doll today and her name is Siddal.
Siddal is named after Elizabeth Siddal, who was best known as an artists model for the Pre Raphaelite Brotherhood . Siddal was also an important and influential artist and poet in her own right. A strong modern woman of her time!
In an East meets West fusion, Siddal wears a Kimono inspired gown of imperial silk satin in a richly vibrant indigo hue, lined in berry silk habotai with an open wrap neckline edged in silver lame. A waist cinching belt adds further silver lame accents. The dramatic kimono sleeves are embellished with unique silver celtic dragon embroidery, a first for Kingdom Doll. The resin shoes are created with a sparkly silver to mimic the lame texture of her belt and neckline. Finally her jewellery is a sterling silver necklace featuring sterling silver tassel details and a clear Swarovski crystal butterfly charm.
Siddal makeup palette is all about drama. Her clear pale sapphire blue eyes are framed with cool toned smokey shadows of charcoal and taupe with pale lilac under her brow, inspired by the Pat McGrath Subliminal Mothership palette.
A metallic gold inner corner highlight warms up the look creating a subtle sparkle. Siddal also features applied upper and lower eyelashes. Her lips are a deep black cherry gloss, whilst her nails are finished with a french manicure.
The handmade custom blended silver grey wig is Kingdom Doll’s interpretation of contemporary Geisha, featuring an updo with exaggeratedly long sections of hair falling from either side of Siddal’s temples.
Siddal also comes with an extra set of hands which are in a “hands on the hip” pose, silver sparkle dressing hands, a clear topped doll stand with black base and a handmade doll box in pale blue with the embossed Kingdom Doll logo.
Siddal has been a House Model for quite some time now. What I always love because it shows you how versatile she is is.
