I had made Paige a crocheted cap like some of the smaller girls...
..but I wasn't sure I really liked it all that much. However, she definitely needed something on her head to help minimize the size of her head. So I made a wreath of flowers....
I thought it looked nice, but still wanted something more. I had resisted making her another hat like the one I made for the purple and gold gown, but in the end, made one anyways...
I really like how the flowers worked in the background. With everything shut down because of the pandemic, and Jan having lost his licence until he's fully recovered, I was getting concerned about getting flowers for my back garden this year - especially the baskets with small trailing flowers that I like to use in outdoor doll photos. So when my son took me grocery shopping this week, I spotted these baskets with purple and yellow 'million bells' outside, and promptly picked up two baskets. I have to take advantage when I can!
Unfortunately we are experiencing a 'polar vortex' the next few days, with temperatures below freezing until the end of next week, so all my flower baskets have had to come inside. There's even flurries in the forecast. In May! Like, where is spring this year?
