LEGO unveils new Women of NASA building set

LEGO has detailed the release of a Women of NASA building set, featuring four minifigures of pioneering women from the space agency.

The kit will go on sale from November 1^st this year and will feature astronauts Sally Ride and Mae Jemison as well as astronomer Nancy Grace Roman and the computer scientist Margaret Hamilton.

Each figure will also come with a backdrop related to their work at NASA, including the space shuttle Challenger and the Hubble Space Telescope.

The LEGO Women of NASA building kit is the latest project to emerge from the LEGO Ideas platform, an initiative that allows LEGO fans to submit their own concepts for building kits to be reviewed by the team at LEGO.
