Georgian Bay

The reason we love going to Kilarney is the rugged, red rock coastline of Georgian Bay, on Lake Huron. The smooth red granite and wind-swept islands are just spectacular.

So, even though I can't sit in a canoe very long, I always make the effort to go on at least one excursion out Chikanishing Creek to take in the rugged beauty of the coast. 

There was just room for one medium sized box in the waterproof bag, and I managed to fit in four dolls - carefully packed with hand towels in between to protect them from each other. 

​One of the most spectacular views of the coast is from the rocks at the mouth of Chikanishing Creek, where we all got out and climbed high on the rocks...
