Thames & Kosmos returning for a night of tabletop fun with its second Games Night at the Museum event to be held at Maidstone Museum on Thursday August 31st.
This evening of board gaming fun is a link to the Museum’s current exhibition ‘Game Plan: Board Games Rediscovered’, a history of board games that’s beginning its tour of the UK from the Maidstone Museum.
“The first Games Night was a massive success – players from 18 to 80 turned up, joined in and enjoyed themselves," commented Lyn Palmer, public programming manager of the museum. "Thames & Kosmos were on hand to explain and encourage and did a great job throughout the evening. We’re looking forward to our second event.”
Thames & Kosmos titles including Kahuna, Lost Cities, Imhotep and Dimension will be on the playlist for the night, alongside some of their latest arrivals including Word Slam and Kerala.
Joanna Drage, sales director at Thames & Kosmos added: “Attendance at the last Games Night was really strong and the demographic profile of the players was really varied, from grandparents looking for games to play with their grandchildren to millennials mixing with middle-aged parents. It was such a great crowd and the Museum café made an ideal venue.”
The Museum will be open from 6pm to 9pm, including the café/bar where the gaming takes place. The event is for over 18s only and tickets can be booked via the museum's website.
