Channel 4 is on the look out for Britain’s most skilled amateur LEGO builders through a brand new competition series.
Dubbed LEGO Masters, the show will see eight pairs of amateur fans compete against each other to build ambitious LEGO creations.
The series will be presented by radio DJ and presenter Melvin Odoom, while various judges will oversee the final creations. These include Matthew Ashton, VP of design for the LEGO Group and guest celebrity LEGO fans, Richard Osman, Bill Bailey and Dara O’Briain.
“This contest will recognise some of the best and brightest amateur LEGO builders, both young and old,” said Dom Bird, head of formats at Channel 4.
“We’re excited to bring this celebration of innovation to a family audience.”
LEGO Masters will kick off on Channel 4 on August 24th at 8pm, where one pair of amateurs will eventually be named the LEGO Masters.
Steph Harris, executive producer, added: “This playful new format demonstrates that LEGO bricks are more than just a toy – or something to step on – and will appeal to the child in all of us, showcasing spectacular builds and inspire the next generation of artists, engineers, architects and builders.”
