Fashion Doll Friday: Palitoy Tressy

Today’s Friday Girl is a rerun. I realised that we had not featured Tressy as a Friday Girl for quite some time although the Tressy’s have been around in other posts. This one belongs to Naomi and is a first edition high colour Tressy. You can see she still has the amazing, bright blue eyes that those early Tressy dolls had. Tressy is wearing a vintage homemade outfit from a collection of them that Naomi bought some years ago. In the top picture, she is wearing a pale blue shift dress. This is a genuine Tressy shift dress but originally she would have had a pink one. My platinum blonde Tressy had a lemon yellow dress. Palitoy manufactured Tressy under licence from American Character between 1964-1969.

These are old photos as the Tressy and Tammy family dolls are currently still packed up awaiting a new display space.
