My Lawrence FID finally has a faceup again. I ordered him blank way back in December 2016 when Iplehouse released their first three FID guys. Charie gave him a faceup, at the same time she did Steve (JID Owen. They had almost identical faceups, and it looked great on Steve, but I wasn't so sure about it on Lawrence. I did try to get used to him...
Then Charie offered to redo him for me, so he went back last summer. His face was stripped, but things being what they were, he didn't get a new faceup. Which last Christmas was a good thing, since I borrowed him back so I could use his blank head to make the wig cap and Phantom masks for Rex. Well, another few months went by, with more of life's interruptions, and he was finally painted last week. I picked him up two days ago. He was a lot better....but still....
So today I thought I'd try my hand at some enhancements, and now he looks like this....
I know my enhancements aren't permanent, since I didn't seal what I did, but I really like him like this. The auburn wig I made for him way back at the beginning even works. One thing though - he decided he was not a bow-tie kind of guy. Only a casual open shirt will do.
I understand that Lawrence was sculpted after Johnathan Reese Meyers, but he also reminds me of a red-haired Santiago Cabrera.
And of course, Monica watching from her shelf in the cabinet, decided he was for her...
